An exhibition catalog that details the background of the "Inoue Takehiko: The LAST Manga Exhibition," held in the early summer of 2008 at the Ueno Royal Museum, through photos and text. It reveals why the exhibition was held at this time, and unveils Takehiko Inoue’s struggles and resolve. The first of two exhibition catalogues (Crescent Moon and Full Moon).

Once upon a time in the northern mountains, there lived beings with great powers. The most powerful were the Imae. Their chief decided to share their power with the weakest beings, the Foxes. They made a blood pact that was supposed to benefit both sides, but the Imae would always have the upperhand. The foxes decided to leave the mountains and have been hiding ever since. If I don’t use my powers in front of an Imae, I’ll be just fine, but now guess what happened…?
