Chapter 1
After forgetting to eat while engrossed in his art, Togo is seemingly wakes up in a mysterious new world filled with all kinds of oddities and wonders. On the verge of starvation, he discovers his drawings become reality! From food to monsters, anything Togo draws comes to life! As he draws a new life for himself, can he finally find a place where he belongs, or does this brand-new world have something else in store for him? "Let's eat a pie in the sky" was originally titled in Japanese as "Kyou mo e ni kaita mochi ga umai (Painted rice cakes taste good today)." In Japanese, "e ni kaita mochi (Painted rice cakes) is an idiom that means "something you can't eat, in other words, an impractical ideal or a armchair dream." It's kind of like the English idiom "pie in the sky." So, this story is about eating painted rice cakes and at the same time, it's about loving impractical ideals.
